Which way are ya gonna go on this one. The police and guard were posted around the police station. NOT the local businesses. The local business owners were taken down the garden path by both the Governor and the local Government in charge of this Missouri mess, buy being told their properties would be protected from possible rioters by the local police who would be with the people. Anyone paying attention for the past three months and heard the leaks from the Grand Jury hearings knew what the result would be. And waiting until prime time to make this long statement in defense of the person of interest, was just the match to the fuse.
It took 12 gun shots to kill this 18 year old. Weapons training must not have been top of the list in this police department. You would not shoot a deer 12 times with a high caliber weapon. This was a "trained" police officer. He literally could not shoot his way out of a wet paper bag.
I have never known a Prosecutor to dance around the subject and treat the person of interest with kid gloves and put the victim on trial during a Grand Jury investigation.
I know this is jumping around. This is complex. I live in a RED state. Most people here live in small communities and know nothing of the urban neighborhoods, schools, shops, crime, families. They think the schools are as great as theirs are. They forget that unemployment is high in these areas, not because the people are lazy, because the companies that employed their neighbors for generations no longer exist in this country. The African-American community in most cities were middle class and always paid their fair share. I am not angry. Too tired to be angry. It never changes. People I call dear friends are so ignorant to reality and they refuse to have a real conversation or FACT CHECK.
