I Think I Am Smarter Than Dick Cheney.

I watched him on Meet the Press today.  I am so past any and all people who never answer a direct question with a direct answer.  Thanks Chuck Todd for trying.  If someone water boarded me, I would scream TORTURE.  I would make up so much stuff and blame my dead grandparents, all of them, to make it stop.  That is just common sense.  Religious fanatics do seem to have a bit more staying power, but, I doubt it would be to such an extent that they really want to risk death.  Being water boarded at a dark site is useless to them.  No one would know they are being martyred. So, there is a 500-600 page summary of a 6000 page report of a compilation of all documentation from the CIA and other alphabet government organizations.  If the documents are supposed to be the record of the actual goings on, why are many saying this is a non-partisan report and not worth supporting because there was no actual testimony.  Is not the written record supposed to be the testimony.  Guess what folks.  We tortured people.  We knew we tortured people.  The world knew we tortured people.  The September 11th Apocalypse made us mad, not angry, mad. And the mad in this world do some vicious things to other humans in this world.  The thing that always threw me off balance was our entrance to Iraq.  I understood Afghanistan, even though 19 of the bad guys were Saudis.  (The King should have given us free oil for 20 years, instead he held hands with W.) The mis-information program of our own government.  If we spoke against the administration we were called Un-american  People like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly just latched on like a bull dog and did not let go.  They did the bidding of Dick Cheney without his even having to ask. Stir the pot, make the people asking questions look like nuts.  The world has grown up.  Cheney has a new heart, he will be with us for many years to come.  But we have our voice back and he can't stifle our words. I bet that really pisses him off.  Just go back to Wyoming Darth.  We got it handled. The earth still turns on its axis, there are good and bad people and we will deal with it in a more mature way.  I do agree that in ten years someone will look back at the drone activities and talk about how bad it was utilized.  It's all just one big circle jerk.

This is so much cheaper than therapy.

Running While Black and the Sports World

My Thanks to the players of the St Louis Rams. (you still belong in California)  We need to continue to express how  we feel and not let anyone beat us down.  I, being a white female, will never know the sick gut wrentching feeling a black man or boy gets when they see a police car.  I can only read about it.  I did get involved in one of these stops in Orange County, CA many years ago.  An attorney, who I knew, was on his morning run. The police had him stopped and leaning against a hot car in his running shorts and top.  I stopped and asked  what was going on.  I was threatened by one of the officers that if I did not get back into my car and mind my own business, blah blah.  I would not let up and demanded both a supervisor and a female office to be called. Stating that this man was an esteemed attorney and owned a condo a block away.  My friend was running while black.  My friends say I scare men away, that is why I have no hubby or boyfriend.  Seemed to have worked on these two male police officers. They basically told both of us to have a nice day, and they went away.  Nothing else to say on this.

I read the very long and complete article in the Washington Post on the issues in and around Ferguson, MO. By Radley Balko September 3.  This in depth read shows the vicious cycle created and flamed by the bigoted actions of those in the many jurisdictions that butt up against each other.  If they don't get you going north on the road, the town across the street will get you going south.  Compounding tickets and warrants, with frivioulous stops.  Read it all and you will get a better feel for the resentment the people in the Ferguson area have for law enforcement and the court system.  A court system that sounds more like the days of the traveling judges.

Bachmann out of work. Marcus to Dancing With the Stars???

Are we going to miss Michelle?  Hell no!
She hurt many people with her lies and mis-information.  I am still waiting to hear from my Death Panel.  Poor Marcus.  What will he do with his extra time.  Maybe he can get a job as a Dresser on Dancing With The Stars.  At no time will I miss this wack job or her very off the wall husband.  Instead we will get new treats with Joni Ernst.  Both she and Michelle were born in Iowa.  Sorry Iowa. Just stating the facts. This new Freshman class of Congress is not as sad as the past two. Sure, there are tons of Conservatives.  But, some of them actually have some common sense and are put off by those of the same party that are not tightly wrapped. 

A year or so ago, I sent an email to my Congressman encouraging him to vote against a specific bill and how its passage would effect me personally.  I already knew that he would support the Conservative line.  A few days later I received a return email thanking be for supporting the Congressmans position. HUH?  I called his local office and when I started to tell the lady that my email was not in support of the bill, I heard a distinct click. That was when I really knew that the game was rigged, they lied about their support "From Home".  I am thinking that Michelles office received tons of these type of phone calls.  This is probably the real reason she did not run for re-election.  She felt the hate and disgust.

This is better than therapy.
